Gray succeeds Love as Macfarlane FD
John Love is retiring as group finance director of Glasgow packaging company Macfarlane after 24 years and will be succeeded by Ivor Gray, pictured, currently group financial controller and finance secretary.
Mr Love led the Group through recovery, re-positioning and into its current growth phase.
Mr Gray, who also joined the company in 1996, will take up the role in the new year. He is a qualified chartered accountant and among a number of roles he was general manager of Macfarlane USA and commercial director of Macfarlane packaging distribution.
In order to ensure continuity and a smooth transition of responsibilities, Mr Gray is appointed to the board with immediate effect. Mr Love will remain as a director of Macfarlane Group PLC until 31 March 2021 at which point he will fully retire from the board.
