DBG is an integrated media group providing a range of Media Services built on the experience of more than three decades of journalism, photography, design and advertising combined with connections to a network of decision makers and influencers.
We offer a service that includes news releases, promotional campaigns, photography and PR and we can publish direct to the Daily Business news website, reaching thousands of potential customers.
Promote your products, services and awards through DB Direct
Articles, photographs and links promoting a company, product or service can be published directly on to the Daily Business website via our DB Direct service. These are promotions, as opposed to news items which are dealt with through the newsdesk.
You may, for instance, want to celebrate an award or run an editorial campaign to support your company’s latest product launch, an event you are sponsoring, or report on assets for sale, such as property and equipment. You may want to promote a special service, or offer readers tips and guidance.
These articles are classed as paid editorial. A link to your own website can be added for a modest extra cost.
Photography can be provided for clients’ internal or external use in print or online. We supply photographs to the press, via Edinburgh Elite Media, a long-established agency in the city, and via PK Media & PR.
Media Strategy and Communications
DB Media Services, in partnership with PK Media & PR Ltd, offers bespoke advice to businesses and other organisations on their communications strategy with the media, investors, customers and employees.
Avoid wasted effort and the pitfalls that can result from failing to communicate your message. We will advise how to plan your strategy for maximum impact, what media to use and what you should expect.
This service can draw upon editorial, marketing and commercial experience with local and national print, online and broadcast media.
Copywriting and Media training
We also provide media training sessions usually lasting half a day and at a venue to suit your needs.
They can be tailored for individuals or groups to ensure they are relevant to your operations.
These courses are invaluable to senior managers who may have direct contact with the media or who need to understand more about how it works to help them in their internal communications.
Typical subjects covered include:
• how to communicate your message and establish a media plan
• how to handle media enquiries and avoid the pitfalls
• understanding the multi-media world, including social media
A bespoke package of all the above services, offering full editorial and branded exposure such as media training, photography, video clips for use on websites, copywriting for a client’s website, reports or other publications, including third parties, and regular by-lined blogs by the client on the DB site + social media support.
A corporate partner would normally sign up for a minimum of six months with articles appearing at least once a month.
The content will involve DB input in writing, photography and design services.
DB Events organises conferences, workshops and other functions.
The first event, Financing the Future, was held in Edinburgh in conjunction with Lending Crowd and was a sell-out. It considered the issue of alternative finance and was chosen by the new CBI Scotland director Hugh Aitken as the occasion for his maiden speech in the role.
