£40m research hub plan for Glasgow
Campus proposals will create new hub
Glasgow University has lodged outline plans for a £40 million research hub at its Gilmorehill campus.
The 17,000sq/m project will provide facilities for investigation into energy demand and waste management.
The 31 hectare hub, designed by HOK Architects, will be the second part of what the university has described as an inspirational and world-leading masterplan.
The consultancy team is collaborating with WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff and Ironside Farrar, the planning consultant.
The Hub will have a colonnade on the east facade along the edge of the new University Square.
The project is due for completion in 2019.
