New hires for growing digital agency Yard
Digital agency Yard has made a number of appointments to its expanding marketing team, hiring former Beattie executive Gerry Campbell for the newly created role of client relations director, and Lauren Pearson as PR & marketing executive.
Mr Campbell will be responsible for the opening and day-t0-day operations of Yard’s new Glasgow office as well as helping deliver the agency’s projected growth plans. He was client relations director at PR agency Beattie Communications and spent five years as relationships manager at digital agency Equator.
He will be working closely with head of digital Ian Daniels, CTO Paul Newbury and CEO Stephan Briggs.
Ms Pearson joins from designer watch company Olivia Burton London. She will assume responsibility for raising the profile of Yard and managing the agency’s marketing and social media platforms.
Recent client wins for Yard include Visit Scotland, Penguin Random House, Executive Shaving, Revenue Scotland and Aurum Holdings.
Yard was founded in 2006 and its new office is in St Vincent Place, Glasgow, where it hopes to double its workforce by the end of next year.
Mr Briggs said: “Glasgow’s diverse and thriving local economy is a perfect fit for us and following Gerry’s appointment we felt that now was the best possible time for Yard to open a new office in the city centre.”
Yard has premises in Cardiff, Edinburgh and London.
