KPMG targets growth through Scots hires
Russell Irwin has joined the Edinburgh office as a director supporting Sam Subesinghe leading the IT advisory and technology risk team in Scotland, as part of KPMG’s management consulting function. Russell, who has worked in IT advisory within the financial services market for 30 years, has extensive experience building and leading high performance IT teams of more than 1,000 people and managing IT budgets of more than £100m across both public and private sectors. Prior to his new role, he worked at Standard Life for a number of years .
Ryan Aitken (pictured), previously a senior manager and most recently head of audit (finance) for the commercial banking and consumer finance divisions at Lloyds Banking Group, has also re-joined KPMG’s Edinburgh office as a director to head up the financial services internal audit team in Scotland. Ryan has 15 years’ experience in internal audit, external audit and advisory work across financial services, retail and shipping.
