Copland becomes EY audit partner
Mr Copland, formerly of Deloitte, is the twelfth new partner in Scotland in 2015 and his appointment comes just a month after EY announced 10 internal partner promotions. This brings the total number of partners in Scotland to 33.
During his 17 year career Mr Copland has worked with major listed and privately owned businesses in Scotland and overseas, with experience across sectors such as technology, media and telecommunications, transport, oil & gas, and manufacturing.
He has worked extensively with fast growing and entrepreneurial businesses and will be a key member of the EY team focused on the continued development and growth in EY’s practice in Scotland.
Mark Harvey, senior partner for EY Scotland, said: “Paul’s appointment comes at a time of significant expansion and investment for EY in Scotland. We are committed to investing in Scotland, both by growing our own business but also helping to grow our country’s businesses and economy.”
Originally from the north east, Mr Copland trained and qualified with Deloitte in Aberdeen after graduating in accounting and business management at Robert Gordon’s University.
