Clyde & Co switches private client business to Gillespie Macandrew
Robert Graham-Campbell: ‘common commitment’
Clyde & Co is transferring its Edinburgh-based private client practice to Gillespie Macandrew.
The team, led by Partner Nikki Dundas, became part of Clyde & Co following its merger with Simpson & Marwick in 2015. The tie-up with Gillespie Macandrew is scheduled to complete on 2 September.
Gillespie Macandrew said the transfer will strengthen its position in the Scottish private client sector as advisers on trust, tax and succession planning.
Clyde & Co will focus on providing legal services globally across its core sectors of insurance, energy, trade & commodities, transport and infrastructure. The residential property division in Scotland will continue to trade under the Simpson & Marwick brand.
Commenting on the transaction, Gillespie Macandrew CEO Robert Graham-Campbell said: “We share a common commitment to the private client sector.”
David Tait, managing partner for Clyde & Co Scotland, said: “Gillespie Macandrew is an excellent fit for Nikki and her team.”
