UK listing for food firm
Stoats’ Morrisons deal ‘will boost market share’
Scottish oats company, Stoats, has secured a national listing with major retailer Morrisons for its best-selling product.
The new listing at Morrisons will see its porridge oat bars stocked in 226 of the supermarket chain’s stores across the UK.
The listing comes after Stoats secured a similar deal with Co-op Scotland, meaning Stoats products are now available in every major Scottish multiple.
Managing director at Stoats, Tony Stone, told Daily Business: “The new listing in Morrisons across 226 stores is great exposure for Stoats.
“Our Porridge Oat Bars have a high repeat purchase and are our best-selling product, so for us the increased distribution will significantly help to drive sales and strengthen our position in the UK market.
“Now that we are listed in Morrisons and the Co-op our Porridge Oat Bar Multipacks are available in all major multiples in Scotland, which is a huge achievement for Stoats and we’re looking forward to continuing to grow our brand both in Scotland and south of the border.”
