Stewart Milne adds 250 jobs as timber frame business grows
It will amount to a 30% increase to its 800-strong payroll and will provide work in Scotland and the north of England for tradesmen, architects, designers and site managers.
The new jobs are in addition to 16o created last year by the Aberdeen business headed by Stewart Milne (pictured with newsreader Natasha Kaplinksy) and will primarily focus on its timber frame construction business which also supplies other builders.
Group chief executive Glenn Allison said: “This is an enormously exciting time to be working in the construction sector, as we bring premium new homes projects forward to meet market demand and continue to grow our timber systems business.”
The company intends to double sales to more than £400 million over the next three years avert more than doubling operating profit to £14.1m in the last trading year.
