Company aims to build on strong year
Key hires at Cupar laundry firm Fishers
Hospitality and workwear laundry firm Fishers has announced two board appointments as it plans to build on a strong trading year.
The Cupar-based company said today that Scott Inglis, who was previously group finance director, becomes commercial director. He joined the business in 2012 and has been instrumental in the restructuring of Fishers’ financing. Prior to joining Fishers, he was finance director at Turriff Contractors.
Lucy Renaut, previously financial controller, joined the business from May Gurney and succeeds Inglis as finance director. She also joins the board.
Fishers Services handles more than two million items a week and is the market leader in Scotland and the north of England.
Michael Jones, Group Managing Director, said: “After a landmark year for the hospitality industry in Scotland, Fishers is set to build on its position as Scotland’s largest commercial laundry and textile business.
“Scott’s experience of the Group’s operations puts him in a strong position to take on the commercial role and Lucy’s deep understanding of the company’s finances makes her the ideal appointment as Finance Director.”
The Cupar-based company, established in 1900, now has a client base that includes major hotel chains such as Accor, Jury’s, Premier Inn and Travelodge, as well as the Caledonian Waldorf Astoria, Edinburgh International Conference Centre and boutique hotels Hotel Du Vin and Malmaison.
The company operates seven sites in Scotland and the North of England.
