The Scottish Business Network has launched a Net Zero Community to provide insights and information for companies aiming to reduce their carbon footprint.
International business networking group SBN has also partnered with CBN Expert, a carbon checking dashboard, to mobilise as many Scottish businesses as possible to make a pledge to Net Zero emissions.
It wants companies to take meaningful action to tackle climate change in the run up to next year’s COP26 conference in Glasgow.
Members of the Community will have access to information and to a network of experts who can support them with specialist knowledge and solutions. Through the partnership with CBN Expert the Community also provides members with access to an easy-to-use dashboard allowing them to measure their carbon footprint,
The Net Zero Community is aligned to the United Nations and the UK Government’s ‘Race to Zero’ initiative.
James Napier, founder of CBN Expert, said: “Once businesses have a view of their carbon footprint it’s much easier for them to start taking actions.”
SBN chairman Russell Dalgleish commented: “We see proving the means to support Scottish businesses achieving Net Zero as a fundamental part of ensuring long term competitiveness in a world committed to tackling climate change.”
