Thompson to leave Sabadell for Clydesdale
Anthony Thompson will join Glasgow-based Clydesdale from Banco Sabadell in October.
He is thought to be joining the public affairs department. No one at Clydesdale would confirm his new role.
He became head of public affairs at TSB bank in 2013 when it was demerged from the Lloyds group. He has been group public policy director at Spanish parent company Banco Sabadell since last October.
He worked in various roles for the CBI, including a year in Brussels, before joining Scottish Widows (part of Lloyds Banking Group) as head of public affairs in 2008.
He took a similar role in Lloyds insurance and Scotland division a year later.
Clydesdale Bank head of comms Barry Gardner took a redundancy package in July.
