Merger unveiled in Glasgow
ABC spells new beginning for design agency
Glasgow-based production house UpUp Design and graphic design studio Bug Graphics have merged to create a new full-service agency, ABC Creative.
The partnership brings together a motion design and visual effects service with cutting edge web and graphic design expertise.
Based in Finnieston, ABC Creative is led by managing director Michael Amato, formerly director at UpUp Design. Its client list includes VisitScotland, Itison, STV, Lipton, the RSPB, Oxfam and Trump International Golf Links.
ABC Creative joins the Pursuit Marketing stable of companies at Minerva House on Minerva Street, which includes First Opinion and Zenith Cooper.
Mr Amato said: “Throughout my time as director at UpUp Design, where we specialised in 3D product visualisation and animation, we often called upon the skills of Stephen Brown, who was the director of Bug Graphics.
“This positive working relationship led to the discussion of forming a one-stop, full service creative agency for Glasgow that would provide everything from web design and branding through to big ticket art direction and TV production.
“From there, ABC Creative was born. We are thrilled to be included within the Pursuit Marketing family and thoroughly enjoying our new office in Minerva House.”
Lorraine Gray, operations director at Pursuit, said: “This year has been a very exciting time for the business with a recent recruitment drive and move to larger premises. By bringing ABC Creative into the Pursuit Marketing fold, we are broadening our horizons in the marketing arena and are able to offer our clients some fantastic added value.”
