Social media company restructures
Twitter to axe jobs as user numbers slump
Twitter is expected to announce an unspecified number of job cuts as user numbers fall to the lowest since it began operating.
Sources have told a technology news publication that most areas of the business will be affected by the cuts.
The social media company employs around 4,100 people across the world. Last week it appointed co-founder Jack Dorsey as chief executive.
He is said to be looking at a restructuring of the company’s engineering departments.
