Man arrested after attack on Sun journalist
A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged serious assault on a journalist working for the Scottish Sun.
Russell Findlay, 41, suffered a facial injury after being attacked at his home in Jordanhill, Glasgow at about 8.45am yesterday. It is believed he had liquid thrown in his face.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “A 55-year-old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with an alleged serious assault on a 41-year-old man in Glasgow.
The 41-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and was released after treatment for a facial injury.
A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
The police spokeswoman said: “The extent of any injuries are not known at this time, however, medical staff describe his condition as stable. Enquiries are continuing.”
