R&A added to Frame’s sporting clients

The PR operation of creative agency Frame has added the R&A and PFA Scotland to its roster of sporting clients which includes the Scottish FA and UEFA.

Former journalist and Scottish FA communications director, Darryl Broadfoot, who joined the agency earlier this year will lead the R&A consumer PR project to promote attendance at The 146th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.

Stephen McCranor, who set up Frame’s PR business three years ago in a joint venture with Charlotte Street Partners, and Frame Group, said: “Our obsession with recruiting the industry’s best talent is paying off.

“We need to be best in class at each discipline and this continues to shape our recruitment strategy.”

He said the agency’s headcount is nearing 70 across its service offerings.

Gary O’Donnell, managing director of Frame Group, said the group had “some exciting announcements in the pipeline for later this year.” 

Frame recently moved to a 15,000 sq ft HQ at Pacific Quay between the BBC and Scottish Television studios.
