Walker returns from NZ to join JLL
Property consultancy JLL has appointed Ben Walker as a senior building surveyor in Edinburgh following his time spent working within New Zealand’s property market.
With 10 years’ industry experience, Mr Walker joins the building consultancy team from Auckland-based Property Consultants Maynard Marks in New Zealand.
He reports to Edinburgh director of building consultancy Ken Frew and takes responsibility for a number of significant retail and office projects in the central belt and Aberdeen.
Prior to his career in New Zealand, Mr Walker worked within Scotland’s property market for eight years in a variety of roles including senior project manager with HCS Group UK, chartered building surveyor with Ryden and latterly as a building surveying consultant with Thomson Bethune.
Originally from Glasgow, Mr Walker was educated at school in Weymouth before returning to study at Glasgow Caledonian University, graduating in 2005 and becoming chartered in 2008 through Ryden.
