All change for Change as seniors lured from Hudson

Mark McFallChange Recruitment Group has restructured its senior management after hiring three top level staff from competitor Hudson.

The positions have been created through a review of the business by Mark McFall, (pictured) who took over as group managing director last year.

He has made a number of strategic changes to the business, including its internal structure and client engagement strategy, to position Change for new and organic growth.

 Matt Warder joins as Head of Energy & Professional Services Recruitment. He is a seasoned recruitment leader having spent 16 years within the industry. He has a track record of growing businesses within the professional services and energy sectors, and will focus on expanding the business in these markets

Mark Wilson is appointed Head of Global Accountancy & Finance Division. Previously at Hudson for 13 years, he built one of Scotland’s most successful finance recruitment teams.

Steve Beck joins as Operations Manager. He is an experienced recruitment analyst, and brings with him extensive insight into wider recruitment industry process and practice.  He will be tasked with handling business and management information to help drive growth and development.

Scott Taylor is promoted to Divisional Manager, Accountancy and Finance Division. He has been with Change since 2007 and this latest appointment follows on from his promotion last year to managing consultant.

Mr McFall said: “Following a period of restructure and investment in the infrastructure of the company, we are now well positioned to move forward positively.  This senior team has the drive, ethics, talent and passion to give the business a re-energised focus which will deliver both the growth we want to achieve, and the quality and attention to detail that our clients demand.”

Based in the Glasgow and Edinburgh offices, the new senior team join the 65-strong group, which is expected to grow over the coming year.

Mr McFall added: “We will look to grow headcount by a further 20-25% this year and there is also our new office in Edinburgh which we move into over the next few months, new specialisms and new markets in the pipeline.  It’s an exciting time to be at Change, and we look forward to seeing the evolution of the business taking place over the coming year.”

The Group was established in 1970, rebranding to Change in 2000. In 2006, the business completed a £14 million MBO backed by NBGI Private Equity.
