Waracle signals growth with hires from Kin + Carta

Digital product development consultancy Waracle has signalled its ambitions by appointing a pair of senior staff from rival Kin + Carta.
Adam Grant-Jones is hired as chief growth officer to increase the company’s presence in London and spearhead its organic growth. He was formerly MD of Kin + Carta’s UK business.
He is joined at the Dundee-headquartered company by Flora Feldman – the former head of growth for Northern Europe at Kin + Carta – who is appointed growth director focusing on existing London-based clients and increasing its impact within the capital.
The appointments follow a busy 2024 for Waracle with the installation of a new CEO in David Tuck and the acquisition of digital design and technology agency Screenmedia, based in Glasgow.
Waracle specialises in mobile apps and digital products and has a client base that includes Standard Life, Royal London, ScottishPower Energy Networks, Roche and Imperial College London. The company is backed by growth capital investor BGF.
Since Mr Tuck’s arrival, Waracle has added ten clients and 30 hires, taking its headcount to more than 200 in its four offices in Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow and London.
The firm has also today revealed a new Scottish growth hub in Edinburgh based in King’s Stables Road, in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle.
Mr Grant-Jones, who has worked on top brands including Ford, Santander, Tesco and Unilever, said: “Waracle has built a great portfolio of long-tenured clients and exciting recent wins that will provide a foundation for growth. With the talented teams here, Waracle is well-positioned to be the next great consultancy.”
Mr Tuck said: “We have a clear plan of what we want to achieve over the coming years and are investing in the right areas to ensure we get there.”
