Duo join Scottish Financial Enterprise board

A former MSP and now executive at Santander UK is one of two senior industry figures joining the board of Scottish Financial Enterprise.
Andrew Wilson and Roland Inglis were selected following a competitive process.
Mr Wilson has been director of communications, marketing and responsible banking at Santander UK since 2023 after leaving Charlotte Street Partners where he was a founding partner.
His previous roles include deputy chief economist and head of group communications at RBS and an SNP member of the Scottish parliament.
Mr Inglis is a partner and head of Scotland and north England at global management and technology consultancy Capco.
It has been established in Scotland since 2016 and now employs more than 370 Scottish consultants. He and his team advise a range of financial services firms.
Prior to Capco, he was focussed on delivering business and technology change at RBS.
SFE chair Sue Dawe said: “Andrew and Roland bring a wealth of experience to the SFE board and both are long-standing and well-respected champions of our industry in Scotland and beyond.
“They will bring significant new capability to our board and I look forward to working with them as we continue to strengthen SFE and deliver our sector growth strategy.
“We are keen to ensure that our board reflects the strength, expertise and diversity of our whole industry and I am confident we have the range of individuals and skills that will enable us to continue to deliver on our strategy.”
Mr Wilson commented: “SFE plays a crucial role both in connecting our industry and representing its impact and interests to our wider society. I am excited to be joining the SFE board and look forward to working closely with Sue, Sandy and the wider SFE team.
“Against a backdrop of ongoing political and economic uncertainty, combined with rapid technological and societal change – our sector has an important role to play in driving growth that benefits of all parts of our society.”
Mr Inglis added: “At Capco we greatly value our partnership with Scottish Financial Enterprise and I am delighted to be joining the SFE board at such an important time for the industry.
“SFE’s growth in recent years reflects the continued strength and dynamism of our sector as it navigates advances in technology, delivers the best outcomes for customers and embraces new opportunities for lasting success.
“I look forward to helping shape its next chapter of growth as the sector increases its contribution to Scotland’s economy and society.”
