HRC Recruitment appoints operations director

Steven RossHRC Recruitment, a Scottish independent recruitment consultant, has appointed Steven Ross as operations director.

Mr Ross has more than 20 years’ experience working across a variety of disciplines at a global and national level, including recruitment, HR, and business transformation. In his role, he will be responsible for managing HRC Recruitment’s business support functions, ranging from marketing to HR.

Mr Ross joins HRC Recruitment from the London office of management consultancy Lee Hecht Harrison Penna, where he spent nearly 11 years. He began his time at the business as a regional operations manager, rising to UK innovation director.

Prior to his various roles with Lee Hecht Harrison Penna, Mr Ross was a senior managing consultant at engineering recruitment specialist Talascend and, in 2003, established his own technology recruitment company, Jobsorter.

This latest senior appointment for HRC Recruitment comes as the company aims to build on a milestone year. During 2018 it launched an office in Dundee and expanded its presence in Edinburgh, while also relocating to a larger office at 180 St Vincent Street in Glasgow.

Mr Ross said: “Having worked across the many different stages of the talent lifecycle during my career, I’m looking forward to utilising that experience and contributing to HRC Recruitment’s ambitious growth plans across Scotland, in what is a very exciting time for the business.”
