Clydesdale worst for rejecting PPI complaints
Banks are rejecting thousands of legitimate complaints about mis-sold payment protection insurance.
In the case of Clydesdale Bank 90% of rejections have been overturned by regulators who have criticised all the banks for still getting it wrong.
Clydesdale came out worst among those involved in 91,381 complaints over PPI which the banks sold alongside loans and credit cards.
Lloyds Bank/Bank of Scotland was the second worst with 78% of rejections overturned by the Financial Ombudsman Service in the first half of the year.
Royal Bank of Scotland saw 66% reversed while 61% of complaints to Barclays and HSBC were overturned.
