Final for hosts in Euro 2016
Golden boy Griezmann shoots down the Germans
A 2-0 victory ensured the hosts will go through to the final in Paris.
The Germans were favourites to win this semi-final but were undone by a controversial penalty and a second goal which followed an uncharacteristic mix-up in their defence.
Both goals were scored by French golden boy Antoine Griezmann (pictured), taking his tally for the tournament to six.
The Germans, who dominated the first quarter of the game and looked unstoppable, simply ran out of steam and ideas.
France will play Portugal, conquerors of the Welsh, in Sunday’s final. For France coach Didier Deschamps it will be a chance to lead his country to victory in a tournament he won as captain of France 16 years ago.
Football – Europa League: Aberdeen secured their passage to the second qualifying round of the Europa Cup despite losing 1-0 to Fola Esch in Luxembourg.
