Campbell appointed partner by accountancy firm EY

Morven CampbellEY has appointed Morven Campbell as partner in its financial services practice. Ms Campbell, who is based in EY’s Glasgow office, will lead EY’s extended assurance practice across the UK regions.

EY has been on a rapid recruitment drive of late with Ms Campbell’s  appointment bringing the total number of EY partners in Scotland to 34.

A former PwC Partner, she most recently ran her own consultancy business.  Commenting on her appointment, she said: “EY is at the forefront of business advisory services with a strong track record in assisting financial services clients navigate challenges within the business environment.

“Scotland is one of Europe’s leading financial centres, generating around £7bn for the Scottish economy. It is a thriving and innovative industry, but one that faces considerable regulatory reform. I am thrilled to join EY and further support our clients to manage their regulatory reform agendas, risk management practices and culture change efforts.”

George Reid, head of financial services at EY in Scotland, said Ms Campbell’s finance, risk and governance experience “adds significantly to EY’s existing capability and credentials, and her appointment further accelerates our record breaking growth in the local financial services market.”
