Contact centre secures Turn2us contract

Response to handle calls for benefits claimants

Brian BannatyneContact centre business, Response, has secured a three-year contract with Turn2us, the national charity which helps vulnerable people experiencing financial hardship.

Glasgow-based Response will provide assistance to people looking to claim in-work and out-of work benefits or charitable grants.

Recent data shows that demand for welfare and debt advice has soared over the past two years. Figures reveal there has been a  56% rise in the number of people contacting specialist charities with nearly 40% of those surveyed in arrears on essential household bills. In the last year Turn2us has supported 3.9 million people to secure grants and benefits totalling an estimated £102 million.

Brian Bannatyne, (pictured) managing director at Response, says Turn2us offers a vital service for those most in need. He added that this latest contract comes at an exciting time for his company as the new owners prepare to launch the rebrand of the business this summer.

“The successful completion of our MBO and forthcoming re-brand provides us with a fantastic opportunity to develop our business even further and roll out a philosophy and vision that we believe sets us apart from the competition,” he said.

Simon Hopkins, chief executive of Turn2us, is confident the charity’s new partnership with Response will make a difference to their clients.
