Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO has announced a new regional managing partner for Scotland.

Audit partner Mark McCluskey takes over the role and will oversee the 200-strong team in Edinburgh and Glasgow across four core business areas – Audit, Tax, Deals and Consulting, Risk & Outsourcing (CRO). 

Mr McCluskey, who has been with BDO for 25 years, takes over from Martin Gill, who is retiring after leading offices across Scotland for 20 years.

BDO has signed a 10-year lease at 30 Semple Street in Edinburgh. This follows investment in 2022 when BDO committed to a 10-year lease of more than 8,000 sq ft at 2 Atlantic Square in Glasgow.

Last month, the firm BDO welcomed 33 trainees across its Scotland offices.
