Saltire Rare Malt, the Falkland-based independent whisky bottler, has added senior staff as it steps up its export operations.

The company, which launched its first whiskies last year, has already made sales into Belgium, Latin America, the Netherlands, Japan and Uruguay.

Jan Damen, formerly operations director at Artisanal Spirits Company, has now joined as European sales director while Paul Bryant has become its brand ambassador in the United States.
