GBSS Civil Engineering has announced a new management structure which will see the business expand and aim to break into additional markets.

David Owens takes over as managing director, with Bart Kulej assuming the role of business director.

Owners George and Fiona Burns remain fully engaged in the business they founded in High Bonnybridge in 2009 but will now fulfil more strategic roles.

Mr Owens said the new management structure follows the recent completion of work on a new Sainsbury’s superstore in Bishopton near Glasgow for CTS Shopfitting.

He added that recent public project deliveries have required the firm to bring in apprentices who have been important to the business for many years.

Mr Kulej added: “We are excited to be pushing ahead with our growth plans. We’ve recently invested in new plant and machinery.”
