Accountancy firm Azets is hiring 100 additional staff in Scotland as it builds on the acquisition of Milne Craig six months ago.

A similar number of former Milne Craig staff will move into Azets’ Braehead office, increasing the total to around 320 at HQ and 620 across Scotland.

Azets has invested more than £500,000 to reconfigure the Braehead offices by adding significant additional desks, increasing the amount of meeting and collaboration space and by providing facilities to enhance the firm’s workplace model.

It has promoted 21 staff across Scotland, including two to director – Caroline Morgan and Keith Porterfield – who are based in the Edinburgh office.

Across the UK, Azets has made more than 100 mid-year promotions, including a regional managing partner, one partner and eight directors.

Greig McKnight, Azets regional managing director for Scotland said: “The team from Milne Craig has made a significant impact by enhancing and deepening the range of services that we can offer, particularly for wealth management.

“The business is performing well and on track for double digit growth across Scotland this year. To support our growth we are looking to recruit around 100 additional staff at all levels.”
