Macfadyen steps up as head of KPMG in Aberdeen

KPMG UK has appointed Natalie Macfadyen, an R&D tax specialist, to lead the firm’s Aberdeen office.
Ms Macfadyen succeeds Paula Holland, who has stepped down after two years in the role, and will oversee a team of 100.
Her focus will be on strengthening KPMG’s position in the local market, including its relationships with key local sectors, such as energy.
She will work closely with the senior leadership team that includes tax partner Deborah May, audit partner Kelly Dunn, audit directors Michelle Smarsh and Daniel Crighton and tax director Anna Morrison.
Ms Macfadyen has worked for KPMG UK for 10 years, moving through various roles in the firm’s tax practice in Scotland before being promoted to tax director in 2022.
Commenting on her appointment, she said: “This is a particularly important time for Aberdeen as the city continues to play a central role in the energy transition.”
