Civil engineer Story Scotland has appointed Alan Boyle to head up its new energy division as it opens an office in Perth and plans to open another in Inverness.

Mr Boyle brings more than 30 years of industry experience to the role, including extensive expertise in sector diversification and sustainable business growth.

He is a chartered engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, and has over 12 years’ experience at director level.

He said: “Our investment in this sector is over a 10+ year horizon, and we are in this for the long haul.”

Story Scotland currently has a team of 30 staff in the energy division, and plans to grow the workforce by more than 100 new positions over the next five years.
