Strathberry, the Edinburgh-based luxury leather goods brand, has relocated and upsized its store in London’s Covent Garden.

Following the success of its debut shop in the location, it has doubled the size of its boutique unit to about 1,200 sq ft.

The move means it is able to expand its offering of exclusive products, signature bags and range of luxury accessories, all of which can be personalised with embossing on-site.

Strathberry is currently stocked globally and operates three standalone stores, of which Covent Garden is the largest. It has also opened a new office alongside the new store.

Guy and Leeanne Hundleby of Strathberry, said: “We’ve truly enjoyed being part of such a vibrant area of London over the past couple of years and, by unveiling this beautiful new boutique, we are excited to enter this exciting next chapter of our journey.

“The new Covent Garden location will become the home of Strathberry in London – both a space where our customers can experience the craftsmanship of our products in person and a London hub for our growing team”.

The company recently hired Martin Byrne as managing director as it targets £100 million in revenue over the next three years.

Mr Byrne joins next month from Monica Vinader where he has worked as chief commercial officer. He has spent 20 years managing and scaling luxury consumer brands in the jewellery and accessories sectors.

Strathberry reported a 53% increase in turnover to £27m for FY24, representing a 55% compound annual growth rate since FY21.

Strathberry’s growth has been fuelled by strong demand for its luxury leather goods, particularly in North America, which saw a 90% increase in sales last year.

The Middle East and Japanese markets have exhibited significant online growth, at 143% and 61% respectively, as the brand continues to expand its global footprint.

The brand’s success has been underpinned by an £8m investment from the Business Growth Fund (BGF) in 2021, aimed at accelerating its growth trajectory.
