CBI launches search for new Scotland director

CBI Scotland has begun a formal recruitment process to find a new director, with Maraget (Mags) Simpson currently filling the job on an interim basis.
The lobby group’s internal rules require it to advertise all senior roles internally and externally to make sure appointments are fair and transparent.
Ms Simpson, previously deputy director of policy, has held the post since April following Tracy Black’s elevation to a UK-wide role.
The director’s role carries a salary of between £80,000 and £90,000 and there have been a number of applicants.
Ms Simpson joined the CBI after spending the bulk of her career in the logistics sector, with the Freight Transport Association and Logistics UK. She also worked at Kellogg and BIC.
