Philip Rodney takes chair as LAR scales up
Lar Housing Trust has appointed lawyer Philip Rodney as chairman, taking over from Andrew Robertson.
Mr Rodney (pictured) began his legal career with McGrigor Donald before joining boutique Glasgow firm Alexander Stone & Co, which subsequently merged with Burness.
He was appointed chairman of the firm in 2005 leading it through its growth strategy including a merger with Paull & Williamson to form Burness Paull.
He remained as chairman until his retirement in July 2018. Since then he has acted as adviser and non-exec to a diverse range of organisations and writes a business column.
Three trustees have also joined the board with immediate effect. Alan Seabourne, who has significant experience of large, complex construction projects and is a former chief officer of Inverclyde Community Health Partnership; Karen Murray, who was the former chief officer for East Dunbartonshire integration joint board and a director of NHS Glasgow; and former senior assistant editor of the Scotsman, David Lee.
Two further trustee appointments are planned for 2021.
