New chief's strategy
Donovan to shift focus of Iomart’s acquisitions

Iomart’s new chief executive Reece Donovan says there will be a shift in the Glasgow-based cloud computing specialist’s acquisitions strategy.
The South African, who has succeeded long-serving founder Angus MacSween said he is keen to build on the 21 businesses acquired during the past decade.
However, he wants to focus on “capability, rather than just market share.”
Mr Donovan told The Herald that he also wants to raise the profile of the company by hiring a marketing director and integrating the various names under which it trades under the single brand.
He joined the company in April 2020 as chief operating officer.
“I know these are difficult times for many, but I actually don’t think we have any significant challenges,” he added. “I think we are in a great position.”
