Key role for Sanderson in KPMG’s tax team
KPMG has appointed an associate partner to lead its private enterprise tax team in central Scotland.
Based in Edinburgh, Philippa Sanderson joins the practice from the firm’s north region where she previously led its Sheffield office.
The appointment is part of a drive to bolster its private enterprise offering in Scotland, working with multi-generational family and private-equity backed businesses through to owner-managed and fast-growing start-ups.
Ms Sanderson (pictured) said: “KPMG Private Enterprise is really about us tapping into the knowledge and experience we have across the firm and tailoring it specifically for privately owned businesses, who have their own challenges and growth opportunities.
“Scotland’s private business community is arguably the backbone of the economy with some of the best-known brands and biggest employers falling into the category.”
Alan Turner, head of tax in Scotland at KPMG UK, said: “Tax touches on every aspect of private enterprise and Philippa’s experience in the field will be crucial in taking our offering to the next level in Scotland.”
