Glasgow born Eddie Large has died from coronavirus
The pair were partners since 1960
Known for his partnership with Syd Little in the 1970s, Eddie Large – real name Edward McGinnis – has died aged 78 after contracting the coronavirus infection in hospital where he was being treated for heart failure.
The pair formed their double act in 1960, after Eddie saw Little’s set in a local pub.
They went on to win the talent show Opportunity Knocks and had a long-running comedy show on BBC One in the 1970s and 80s, attracting up to 15 million viewers.
