Instant HR app; STATS Saudi deal; Workflo heads south

Stephanie Robinson: second venture

Entrepreneur Stephanie Robinson has launched an app designed to help distressed employees needing access to HR advice.

Ms Robinson says the app, HR Solver, connects employees with qualified HR experts and provides them with free resources and articles. She has invested £120,000 in the venture.

Since its beta launch in October last year, the bootstrapped app has already made HR advice accessible to more than 2,000 users.

HR Solver is East Calder-based Ms Robinson’s second foray into business, following Solve, which provides ethical HR guidance to employers.

Engineering group STATS signs Saudi deal

Aberdeenshire-based STATS Group has signed an exclusive partnership with Safari Oil & Gas in Saudi Arabia.

Safari Oil & Gas has strong links to the Kingdom’s main hydrocarbon producers and the partnership will promote STATS’ patented range of pipeline isolation and intervention technologies.

The agreement follows on from a successful isolation workscope conducted on behalf of Saudi Aramco and which utilised STATS’ hot tap installed double block and bleed BISEP tools.

Workflo expands into England

Workflo Solutions, the outsourced managed services provider based in Livingston, has opened its first facility outside Scotland.

The company is developing a hub in Saddleworth, Greater Manchester, as part of a national roll-out plan for its range of outsourced business support service technologies.

Workflo’s new regional headquarters will have a core staff of sales, account management and service engineering. Further appointments are expected to more than double the size of the team by early next year.
