Tourism marketing specialist takes senior role at VisitScotland
VisitScotland has appointed experienced tourism industry manager Vicki Miller as director of marketing.
With more than 18 years experience in the sector, Ms Miller joined the Dumfries & Galloway tourist board in 2001, holding the positions of head of marketing & visitor services and acting chief executive.
In 2005 she joined VisitScotland as an area director, managing the Tayside team and supporting the development of local area tourism strategies and area tourism partnerships.
A move back into a marketing focused role in 2007 saw Ms Miller take on local and customer experience marketing activity, delivering on VisitScotland’s vision of building a visitor-shaped destination brand.
Malcolm Roughead, chief executive of VisitScotland said: “Her extensive experience and expertise will help us build on a critical part of our ambition for Scotland to become a world class visitor destination.”
He described Ms Miller as an en excellent role model and ambassador for the organisation.
“I believe her personal and professional commitment to this role will help us meet our goal of delivering sustainable and inclusive growth to the Scottish economy,” he said.
