SNS Group seals global partnership with Getty Images

Scottish photographic service SNS Group is expanding overseas after sealing a deal with one of the world’s biggest agencies.

The Glasgow-based company has entered into a partnership with Getty Images which will allow the global giant to license and distribute SNS Group sports imagery around the world.

Since its formation 31 years ago, SNS Group has covered the fortunes of Scottish football teams at home and abroad for a host of media organisations. 

In the past decade the company has been the official supplier of photography services for the Scottish Rugby Union and currently has a staff photographer at the Rugby World Cup in Japan.  

The agency has an image bank of nearly two million photographs stretching back to the late 1960s covering top sporting events.

Underlining the significance of the new partnership, SNS Group managing director Jim McCann said: “SNS is fiercely proud of its independence over the past 30 years and has built a cherished reputation for the quality of our imagery and service.

“We will continue to grow our business in the UK in the coming years. However, we are ambitious and want to push boundaries and showcase our imagery of Scottish sport now to all corners of the globe.

“There is no better way of doing so than in collaboration with the global leaders in our field, Getty Images. We are delighted to work with them and look forward to a fruitful relationship.”
