Workflo buys Pyramid and seeks further acquisition targets
Michael Field: seeking other attractive acquisition opportunities
Workflo Solutions, a managed serviced provider, has acquired neighbouring West Lothian IT Support company Pyramid IT and is on the lookout for further deals.
Pyramid IT offers computer, server and associated technology support to businesses across the Lothians.
The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, allows Workflo to enhance and extend its range of managed service technologies for clients across the UK. Its core services include digital workflow, electronic document management and managed print services.
Pyramid IT will be absorbed into the current Workflo structure and managing director Michael Field is targeting further deals.
“This acquisition will enable us to broaden our reach and suite of capabilities,” he said. “Whilst we remain focused on meeting the needs of our customers, our strategy is to continue to seek other attractive acquisition opportunities as demand to extend our services increases.”
Pyramid IT founder, Steven Burrows, said: “This is an exciting time for Pyramid IT clients. The acquisition by Workflo Solutions offers our clients access to a broader portfolio of products and services which will help improve efficiencies and drive savings.
“The ‘fit’ between the two companies is strong and is enhanced further by Michael’s determination to make Workflo one of the most progressive IT companies in Scotland.”
Pyramid IT plans to continue working from its Livingston base and, following a transitional period, Mr Burrows will move into penetration testing services to protect SME businesses from cyber attacks.
