Promotions at Gibson Kerr and Anderson Strathern
Stuart Millar and Caroline MacBeath
Scottish law firms have been announcing a number of promotions.
Gibson Kerr has promoted Stuart Millar to associate, personal law, and Caroline MacBeath to senior solicitor with the family law department.
Mr Millar joined the firm in 2014 from Shepherd and Wedderburn, where he spent six years. He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Ms MacBeath, who joined as a solicitor late last year from Legal Services Agency, has earned a speedy promotion.
Having gained her Masters degree in the Netherlands, she worked for a period at the European Commission in Brussels. Since then she has gained a diploma in legal practice and worked for Rollos Law, Garden Stirling Burnet and Stevenson Marshall.”
Anderson Strathern has announced three new partners: Nick Howie in the corporate team, Alasdair Johnstone in the private client team and Stephen McDonagh who will lead the risk & compliance team while also continuing his role as the firm’s data protection officer,
In the rural land & business ream Sophie Noble is promoted to senior associate, while three senior solicitors becomeassociate: Anne Lawrie (commercial property), Russell Laughland (private client) and Stephen Moffat (dispute resolution).
Moving up from solicitor to senior solicitor are: Emma Crilley (dispute resolution), Jemma Forrest (employment law), Fionnlagh Blair (dispute resolution), Ross Fairweather (dispute resolution) and Scott Fyfe (corporate and commercial).
