New tenants bring 145 jobs boost to Clyde Gateway
Clyde Gateway East: new tenants
Two global brands – DHL Express and Torishima Service Solutions Europe (TSSE) – are moving to Clyde Gateway East Business Park in Glasgow in a move that will bring 145 jobs to the area.
Logistics company DHL Express, has agreed a pre-let for a service centre facility that will see relocation of its current team and the creation of a further 95 jobs.
The 1.94 Hectare site has been acquired by Harris Finance which is headquartered on site and has let more than 13,935 sq m (150,000 sq ft) of business space in the area.
The DHL Express Service Centre will offer international delivery and collection services from next summer, with the move allowing for continued growth.
TSSE is the European arm of the Osaka-headquartered Torishima Pump Manufacturing Company, a provider of pumping system installations and aftermarket support services.
It has taken a 2,550 sq m (27,448 sq ft) unit developed speculatively by Clyde Gateway Developments on a 15-year lease as its new European headquarters, bringing 50 highly-skilled engineering jobs to the area.
Clyde Gateway East, adjacent to junction 2A of the M74 motorway, has delivered 10,725 sq m (115,448 sq ft) of development for occupiers including BT, Dentec Scotland, Cusack, Glacier Energy Services Holdings, and Greencore Food to Go. Speculative developments currently under construction by Aberdeen Standard Investments will provide a further three units bringing the development to 18,117 sq m (195,011 sq ft).
