Key role created at Mactaggart & Mickel
Luxury housebuilder and developer Mactaggart & Mickel has promoted Jamie McLean to group head of construction.
The role brings together four construction divisions within the group – Homes Scotland, Homes England, Contracts and Timber Systems -specifically to foster greater knowledge-sharing and resource utilisation.
Mr McLean was previously head of contracts and timber systems. He joined Mactaggart & Mickel in 1993 as a joiner and has held a number of positions including health & safety manager, site manager and general manager of the Contracts division, the area of the business that undertakes building projects for external organisations such as local authorities, housing associations, retailers and care homes.
He said: “As we expand our business into new geographical areas, it is increasingly important that we continue to share expertise and deploy our resources in the most effective way. This new role gives me oversight of our entire construction operation.”
Ed Monaghan, group CEO of Mactaggart & Mickel, said: “Jamie brings a unique set of skills, honed over 26 years working across almost every facet of our business. His experience makes him ideally placed to ensure our construction operations continue to excel.”
Mr McLean will divide his time between Scotland and the company’s English base in Cheltenham.
