Wilson joins boards of Turtle Pack and forex start-up Argentex
Former Scottish Enterprise chief executive Lena Wilson has been hired by Scottish start-up Turtle Pack as chairman and has also joined a foreign exchange start-up chaired by Lord Digby Jones.
Turtle Pack has created a new swimming aid for young children. The products selling in more than 23 countries and the company is seeking further investment to accelerate growth. The team have ambitions to expand their overseas sales.
Ms Wilson, 55, also becomes a non-executive director at Aim-quoted Argentex. She currently sits as a non-executive director on the board of Royal Bank of Scotland.
Argentex was founded by dealers Harry Adams and Carl Jani in 2011 and has a market value of £155m. It floated in June and made profits of £9.4m in the year to the end of March.
