New venture for McTaggart & Mickel

Housebuilder Mactaggart & Mickel is moving into television advertising for the first since it was founded in 1925.

The company has hired marketing agency Multiply to create a four-week TV campaign around a theme of Moments that Matter.  The advertising campaign will appear on screens from 4 September with slots booked in Central Scotland and Oxfordshire, two locations where Mactaggart & Mickel has homes for sale.

Joanne Casey, director with overall responsibility for sales and marketing, said:  “We launched a new brand earlier this year and, at the same time, are increasing our presence in Oxfordshire. 

“We have used video effectively for over 12 years, but this will be our first venture into a commercial medium.”

The advertisements were filmed at Mactaggart & Mickel’s developments at Symington in South Ayrshire, and Milton-under-Wychwood in The Cotswolds.

David Roberts, head of business at Multiply, said:  “Moving to a new home is exciting and emotional, and move-in day is even more so. This campaign focuses on memorable moments experienced by a family as they settle in and begin to relax and enjoy their new surroundings.”

Media specialist The Media Shop Scotland managed the bookings which include Sky HD, video display and social channels.
