Grant Thornton boosts public services with key promotion
Business and financial adviser Grant Thornton UK has promoted Joanne Brown to partner to lead its public services offering in Scotland.
Ms Brown joined the the firm in April 2015 and has over 18 years’ background providing audit and assurance services to a range of public sector organisations. Her most recent role was as head of the public services assurance team in Scotland.
She also has significant experience in supporting organisations with their governance arrangements and improving internal controls, including demonstrating value for money. Ms Brown will lead the firm’s wider public services offering across Scotland working with health, central government, local government and not for profit organisations. She will also continue to support the development of the firm’s internal audit offering to public sector clients nationally.
Ms Brown said: “I am committed to strengthening our reputation in the Scottish market and, as a team, we are dedicated to ensuring public sector organisations can continue to provide the vital services we rely on every day.”
