Ex-bank boss appointment
Former Virgin Money chief Gadhia to take CEO role at Salesforce
New role: Dame Jayne-Anne Gadhia
Dame Jayne-Anne Gadhia is expected to be unveiled as CEO of the UK and Ireland operations of Salesforce, the American cloud software giant.
New York-listed Salesforce announced plans earlier this year to invest $2.5bn in its UK operations.
The former Virgin Money chief is expected to take up her new role in October, according to Sky News, ending any prospect of succeeding Ross McEwan at Royal Bank of Scotland, where she also worked in a senior role.
She left Virgin Money following its £1.7bn takeover by CYBG, which is adopting the Virgin brand for its Clydesdale and Yorkshire banking operations.
Dame Jayne-Anne will join the Bank of England’s Financial Policy Committee next year.
