Five-storey building planned

Permission granted for 196-room hotel at airport

Glasgow airport hotelA five-storey hotel is to built at Glasgow Airport Business Park after the 196-bed project received planning permission.

Designer Dexter Moren Associates (DMA), which delivered the Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Express at Aberdeen Airport, “seeks to inject architectural interest, colour and scale”.

DMA partner Herbert Lui said: “Our client, Cairn Group, saw an opportunity to meet demand for guest rooms in this location with a high quality new building.

“Our contemporary approach is sympathetic in scale and massing to the context. The building is on a site that already benefits from established infrastructure.“The hotel will bring investment to the area and generate opportunities for local employment.”
