Murray-Williams double act to set Wimbledon alight
Andy Murray will be hoping for another Wimbledon trophy in the doubles tournaments
Scottish tennis ace Andy Murray has confirmed that he will partner US champion Serena Williams in the mixed doubles at Wimbledon.
The first match on Thursday will be the hottest ticket at SW19 and Murray will be hoping for a second trophy winning doubles tournament just two weeks after success at Queen’s with Feliciano Lopez.
Williams, a 23-time Grand Slam singles winner, had earlier told journalists: “If you guys really want it, then maybe I’ll do it. All right, done, just for you guys. Don’t forget.”
Murray, who has won two singles titles at Wimbledon, will partner Frenchman Pierre-Hugues Herbert in the men’s doubles.
